EMPTY VESSEL

Bread of heaven fall a fresh on me....

Overflow into this empty vessel….. Heal renew restore this broken wounded spirit of mine.


Oh retched person am I, that I fail to embrace my birthright...Fail to take a claim to what's rightfully mine....How else to I expect to find...Find out who I am...Who’s I’m supposed to be...A prince then a king, Princess then a queen....But oh I need to abstain …..Abstain from this life that has be bound...That's turn my whole world upside down...Twisting and turning....Deeply yearning to co-exist with this world’s system of chaos---How can I ever dismiss....Dismiss the hurt or shed the pain...Bypass rejection and being ashamed.....Toss aside doubt, fear and lack.....and even this monkey that's tide to my back...that adds to the burden I carry each day....enabling my to lose focus. ….wonder and go away...away from the promise that belongs to me....that can loose the chains and set me free...free from the captivity...the captivity that's built in my mind...wasting such precious time...trying to find a peace of mind, when all along it was there....there inside of me...buried deep within,...covered in the abyss of sin I was tangled in......trying to break away....failing time after time....Lord make me over...make me over again.....


Mold me into the person I desire to be, that I’m destined to be…Uniquely created by you!

Wrong Relationships

Why is it that we find ourselves caught up in the same situations all the time?



Why is it that we always seem to either attract or be attracted to the same type of person all the time?


Why is it that no matter how much we say that we won't get involved in that type of relationship or that kind of person ever again that we always find ourselves right back in that same situation with that same person…or even in a worst state than we were in, in the first place?


Could it be something psychological?


Maybe something connected to our childhood; something we saw depicted in the early stages of our lives that causes us to have these particular ideas about what a relationship is or how a relationship is supposed to be?


Or maybe we find ourselves in these situations because we are looking for what we may have missed such as that "man figure" or "father figure" in our lives?


So therefore we then go out looking for what we want to be the exact opposite of that "father figure" that we didn't have in our lives, yet we end up attracting the very same thing we were running away from.


Or could it be that maybe it was something we heard or were told by someone that we considered to be a role-model or mentor or even someone we looked to for advice.


You know that one person that meant the world to you; whose opinion out-weighed everyone else's. Yes that person; who you felt knew everything there was to know or who you wanted to "be just like".


That person's examples, decisions, they way they lived their daily life...impacted you!


Could it be that we are just simply being ignorant to the fact that hey, this thing is not healthy for us, that it can lead us down a path of destruction, and can destroy not only our lives but the lives of others around us and yet we seem to turn a blind eye to it?


The sad thing is the end result of it is that we find ourselves in these horrible situations that turn out to be a long, emotionally, unhealthy and psychologically draining repetitive cycle in our lives that can be avoided.

Detox

Today's Scripture



"Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance, and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life" (Proverbs 4:23 AMP).


Today's Word


When something is toxic, it's poisonous; it can destroy you. When we go
around dwelling on the wrong thoughts, thinking about what we can't do
or how we'll never get ahead, those thoughts are toxic thoughts. Toxic
thoughts left alone become like toxic waste that sinks into your heart.
It will eventually contaminate your whole life. It affects your
self-image. It affects your attitude, your level of confidence, and
ultimately, your success. That's why the scripture says to guard your
heart because the condition of your heart and mind determine the
condition of your whole life.


Make the decision today to detox any negative, self-defeating thoughts
by meditating on God's promises instead. Make the decision to detox
bitterness, detox low self-esteem, detox negative words that may have
been spoken over you, detox condemnation. Make the decision to dwell on
what God says about you. God says, "You are forgiven." God says, "Your
best days are in front of you." God says, "I'll restore the years that
the enemy has stolen." As you detox your mind and fill your thoughts
with His promises, you'll see His hand of blessing on your life. You'll
rise up higher, and you'll live the abundant life He has for you!


A Prayer for Today


Father in heaven, I invite You to purify my heart and mind by Your
Spirit today. Wash me with the Word as I meditate on Your wonderful
promises. Help me keep my mind focused on You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Faith

To limit your faith to one set of beliefs or an institutional belief system is to commit intellectual suicide. We shut down the possibility of being enlightened and enriched by others' experiences, which may be derived from their beliefs. We build a barrier between ourselves and our fellow travellers and then feel threatened, even in small and subtle ways, by someone of a different faith. The deepest faith is the intuitive conviction that all is as it should be, despite appearances, and that every human being is intrinsically good, despite appearances. This reminds us to keep our minds open, not take the law into our own hands, and look out for the best in others, regardless of what they say or do. This is faith in life, not faith in a set of learned or inherited beliefs. Have you ever noticed how people don't go to war over their faith in life?

Stay On The Path!

When God has set you on a particular path your one and only task is to stay on that path.

Though the road up ahead may be rough and filled with twists and turns, and at times it seems like you can’t find your way; all you MUST do is stay on that path He has set you on.
There are consequences for taking another route or choosing what you think is a shorter or better way; a way that will only lead you down the road of heartache, lack, pain and eventually destruction.
Walking out of the will of the Lord causes you to miss your blessings.
“I will lead thee in the way of righteousness” says the Lord.


Allow HIM to lead you by staying on the path HE has set you on and receive your Blessings!

Real Love!

The Greek word AGAPE means “love".

How is "Agape Love" different from other types of love you may ask?
Agape love is unselfish love in its purest form!
It is not friendly or brotherly love nor is it romantic or sexual love.
Agape love is Unique, Unconditional and is distinguished by its nature and character, which is the full embodiment of God!
1st Corinthians 13:4-8 tells us what love is and what love is not.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always preserves. Love never fails.
However, Agape love is the kind of love that God extends to us:
It's that kind of love that I feel we could never truly grasp!

Romans 5:8 states, "But God commanded his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."



God who is all knowing, knew exactly how sinful and undeserving we are, yet He was still willing to send His Only his son into the world to die so that we may have access to the abundant life he has for us.
This my friend is the real Love; un-selfish Love -that AGAPE Love!
There is nothing you can do to cause God to love you any more than He already does—and there is nothing that will cause God to love you any less.

God's Love is unconditional at ALL times!


It‘s not dependent upon anything we say or do and is not based simply on your intellectual ability, your talents, or your performance.
It's not like human love; I love you if you love me back, or I used to love but...
It’s the kind of love where He loves you simply because of who you are!
The kind of love that when we abandon His word and teachings and fall in our sin he doesn’t hold it against us as men do; but he forgives you and then loves you even more!
The kind of love that is warm, tender, comforting, understanding, forgiving, un-reserved that is all inclusive for you.
And most of all a love that does not judge!
As believers and as children of God we are to mimic the characteristics of our maker who is Love itself.
We are to love others sacrificially, not on our feelings, but we must be have the tenacity to put the wellbeing of others before ourselves.



In doing this we are truly tapping into the source of that love, that Agape love of God and embodying the nature and expression of His being which has been poured into our hearts when we became His children.



Tap into the source and get connected to God so you can embrace, embody and saturate everyone that you encounter with that never-ending, never changing, un-limited God inspired Agape - Love!

WHAT HE MEANS TO ME!

WHEN I THINK OF ALL THE THINGS THAT GOD HAS BROUGHT ME THROUGH,
 

ITS NO WONDER  I CAN PRAISE HIM IN THE SPECIAL WAY I DO.

WHAT GOD HAS DONE FOR ME CAN'T EVER BE REPAID
 

BECAUSE HE STILL LOVES ME AFTER ALL THE MISTAKES I'VE MADE

ALL OF THOSE TIMES WHEN I THOUGHT  I WOULD LOSE MY MIND, 

OUR COMPASSIONATE GOD WOULD SHOW UP JUST IN TIME; 

TO TELL ME HE LOVED ME AND SHOWED ME HE CARED,

AND THAT ANYTIME I NEEDED HIM, HE WOULD ALWAYS BE THERE!

WHEN I WAS WEAK......MY GOD MADE ME STRONG!
 

WHEN I TRIED TO GIVE UP...GOD MADE ME HOLD ON!

GOD WAS THE JOY THROUGH THE PAIN AND THE TEARS!
 

THE CONFRONTER AND ERASER OF ALL OF MY FEARS!

THE KEEPER OF MY SECRETS THAT DWELL DEEP WITHIN!
 

THE MERCIFUL FORGIVER OF ALL THAT'S KNOWN TO HIM!

THE NEVER-ENDING SUPPLIER OF ALL OF MY NEEDS!
 

MY HEALER, MY DELIVER, MY STRENGTH AND MY SHIELD!

MY ENCOURAGING , BELIEVING AND STRONG SUPPORT SYSTEM
 

WHO MAKES ME FEEL GOOD JUST KNOWING I AM WITH HIM...

MY COMFORTER, PROTECTOR, MY REFUGE, MY FRIEND

Wanting More!

No matter what the situation is, be it good or bad we all desire a better life for ourselves; and there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting better. As a matter of fact its in God's perfect will for us to live better!

What is wrong however is wanting better and not achieving it God's way!

For through the Spirit, by faith, we wait for the hope of righteousness. Gal. 5:5

We all want better.

A better job, a better house, car, body, personality, better bank accounts, better relationships with friends, family and God and a myriad of things to be better in or lives.

People make rules and try to stick to them because they want to live better and want to be better.

That's why at the beginning of each year we ALL make those resolutions that we attempt to keep but don't.

I'll stop drinking.

I'll stop smoking.

I'll be a better father/mother.

I'll go to church more; and the all time favorite; I'LL LOSE THE WEIGHT THIS YEAR!

And the lists go on and on and on!

You can try to stick to your own declaration of not doing what you did before, not going where you did, not saying those hurtful things and for a while it seems to be working, but after a while you fall back into the same patterns.

The reason for this is very simple.

It is because you were trusting in your own ability, rather than trusting God to direct you!

We must learn to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to protect us from going back into those destructive behavioral patterns!

In your Christian walk we Must practice daily to rely on the Direction of the Holy Spirit.

In practicing this act, you then develop a pattern or habit of allowing God total access to your every decision on a daily basis!

In doing this simple step you are asking or allowing the Holy Spirit to keep you from lying, stealing, cheating, doubting, not forgiving, and preventing you from giving into those sexual desires that try to overtake you!

Just allow the Holy Spirit to keep you, and you will be kept in perfect peace!

If you have not noticed by now, you are not good at keeping yourself.

You must want to do better in life, and want more for your life!

Know that there is a better way to achieve this and that way is to put your faith in God, trust that He will keep you and leave it all to him.

God wants to be our burden bearer, our comforter, or nurse our shelter or strength or defender and our everything; but we must allow Him to be and stop fighting these battles ourselves and our way. Realize that NO other way will work but God's way!

The bible says there is a way that seems right unto a man but in the end it leads to death.

Don't die trying to fight the same battle day after day, year after year.

You have someone that is willing and able to do exceedingly, abundantly...more than you can ask or even think of in your life, and that someone is Jesus!

Let Him in, allow Him to reign in your heart, mind body and soul and just sit back and watch the manifestations come to pass in your life!

Trusting Forever in God!

There are times in our lives when things go bad, and then there are those times when problems seem to come from every angle, every time you turn around something else has gone wrong!

Just lost your job, the rent is due, power about to cut off, eviction notice, money here today gone today, your heatlh up and down on you, sometimes you feel like you're losing your mind and that NO ONE understands...

Those are the times when you are to EXERCISE your FAITH & TRUST IN THE LORD!

Stop trying to figure it out!

Step back, take your hands of it, let go and let God work it out for He is ABLE and HE WILL BRING YOUR THROUGH!

Remember that You are strong person and with God you can face any and every situation that comes at you for He NEVER puts more on us than we can handle and He PROMISED never to leave you or forsake you!

Get in the Word of God because the answer to EVERY situation your are facing this very moment is right there!

Those things that NO one else knows but you, that you feel you can't overcome no matter how much you tithe, how much to give, do and how long and hard you pray and cry out in the midnight hour.....

Know that God knows, He has heard your cries and He is Directing your path and HE WILL BRING YOU OUT VICTORIOUSLY!

Continue to Lean, Rely and Cling to God everyday of your life!

Be encouraged and strengthened in the LORD!

Food for Thought!

Don’t you just get so tired sometimes of the struggling over and over and over again?

Every day it’s the same thing or every year or every relationship you end up in always had a similar out-come.

When will my change come?

Mathew 7:8 says “For everyone who asks receives; He who seeks finds and to him who knocks the door will be opened” (N.I.V)

Better really cannot come without God!

A lot of times we use that statement so loosely and I don’t think we know the power behind those words!

Saying that better cannot come without God, means that you have realized and know without a shadow of a doubt that you truly cannot do anything unless your fully lean, rely and trust in the Lord to guide your every step, thought every minute of every single day of your life.

In having the things/life that God wants us to have we MUST renew our minds.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2 KJV

Having the same issues year after year means that your mindset has not changed. No matter how much you pray or fast or speak in tongues or bind or loose or tear down…nothing coming down and nothing will change until you change the way you view that particular thing/situation that is holding you back from going forward in God! Until you make up in your mind that you won’t smoke, drink, lie, cheat, steal or know that the joker is not worth your time and you deserve better you won’t get it!

You get better through God and you achieve this by the daily renewing of your mind and NOTHING ELSE!

Its time stop chasing those things/people that you “think” will make you happy: They won’t! You must embrace what God wants for life and stop embracing and holding onto things and people that are tearing you down and hindering your growth and acceleration in Life! You must embrace His Agape love!

Cut away, remove, get rid of, let go of all those dead and useless things that are just sucking the life out of you! Those situations in your life that have been affecting your life, mind, body and most of all your soul and allow God to take hold of you and remove all of those road blocks and pull those leaches that have been draining you out of your life! You cannot partner with someone who does not share your goals!

Do not get tied up with someone who does not share your God-given purpose because God has a great plan for your life and He has a great work for you to do, but this cannot be done unless, until you release those things that are destroying you! He’s ready to release you from those things that had you bound but you must be willing to yield from your will and allow HIS will to prevail!

Let Him In!

Trust Him to bring you through, to take you out and to allow him to restore you and then use that gift to glorify Him!
